My Husband Rob and I in 2012.
I used to hate running; that changed in 2013. It was part of my weight loss process. My blood pressure was up and my heart rate was crazy. I started running that spring, and I ran my first 10k in April 2013. I liked it so much that I have been running ever since. Now my blood pressure is normal my heart rate is as good as it was when I was in high school. I’m 60 lbs lighter and feel better then I did in my 30’s. I turn 50 this year, when I run I feel I can accomplish anything. I don’t go out to win races, I go out to beat myself. I try to run faster to improve my time from last year. It’s not easy, but I know that anybody can walk or run you just need a good pair of shoes.
I have been married for 25 years and have 2 daughters. I am the only one in my family that enjoys exercising. I hope this encourages you. I would love to meet you and get you off your couch and the sidelines to show your family what you can do. Running is fun for all ages, but even more fun when you finish something you never thought you could.
